Memorial Legends of Friendswood Golf Tournament is recognized as a 501(c)
(3) organization and has provided in excess of $365,000 in donations to
The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center & Friendswood Independent School District Teacher Grants.
The University of Texas M.D.
Anderson Cancer Center:
Over the history of the tournament, more than $250,000 has been donated to The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center
for critical seed money to develp new innovative protocols and treatments. In 2009, the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and
participants allowed us to donate $20,000 to this cause.
We have committed to donate $100,000 to M. D. Anderson over a 5 year period. A plaque honoring our organization will be displayed
at the hospital as a sign of appreciation for our level of commitment.
Friendswood Independent School District Teacher Grants:
Over $115,000 has been given to the Friendswood Independent School District in the form of grants for the enhancement,
development, and enrichment of education within our schools. In 2009, $5,000 was donated to the Friendswood Independent
School District.
