The Mike Doiron Memorial Legends of Friendswood Golf Tournament is recognized as a 501(c) (3) organization and has provided in excess of $290,000 in donations to The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center & The Friendswood Education Foundation.

The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center:
The Center received $20,000 in 2007 for cancer research.  Since becoming a nonprofit organization, the tournament has donated $152,500 for cancer research.  This funding has helped M.D. Anderson doctors further their research efforts with hopes of ultimately saving lives worldwide.

The Friendswood Education Foundation:
The Foundation received $14,500 in 2007 for classroom grants within the Friendswood Independent School District.  Tournament funding for The Education Foundation has totaled $113,500 and continues to support educational enhancements throughout the district.
